Who can resist a heart shaped block?! I know I can't! When Sally Ablett first showed me the design for this quilt, I was sold straight away. This beautiful block shape, combined with the very subtle ohio star block's in the corners create a timeless classic. The pale turquoises of the half square triangles in contrast with the charcoal grey cause an illusion, making the triangles feel like they are disappearing into the quilt, which I absolutely adore.

Measuring just 48" by 48", this perfectly sized sized throw would instantly transform a sofa, chair or even a bed. It could also be used for a picnic blanket as it folds up into a lovely neat square making it easy to transport around or nestle in the bottom of a picnic basket. Due to the size of the throw, it's a lovely quick project which doesn't feel too daunting.

This lovely quilt was long arm quilted by Joy Harber from Patchwork Joy. She has chosen pretty heart and swirl motif's which compliments the fabric blocks beautifully. The varying sizes add interest yet don't distract from the delicateness of the fabrics or the blocks.
