Oh how I LOVE an easy sewing project and bunting is no exception. I know lots of people like to do single sided or to just cut it out without sewing it, but I'm a perfectionist and much to my own detriment that means hours of sewing to get it looking as I want it. The great thing about bunting is that it grows very quickly, giving you that instant dopamine hit and sense of achievement.

For this bunting I chose to use my latest collection of quilting cottons, 'Forever Blooms', designed in collaboration with Lewis and Irene. The bold, striking colours of this collection, lend themselves really well to bunting as you don't have to be close to see the patterns. For this bunting I used six inch triangles, so that you could see a large quantity of the pattern, but smaller triangles spaced closer together would work equally as well. Classic white bunting tape showcases the designs without being distracting.

Bunting is a fantastic way to brighten up a room or celebration. Whether you use it to enhance a party or to add another layer to your home décor, I would highly recommend having some fun with it. With Remembrance Sunday just around the corner, my poppy themed fabrics will be perfect to display and celebrate the lives of those who sadly gave their lives for us. I have a feeling though that this might also be used for a few different occasions in the future.
