Meet Autumn the Memory Bear

Memory Bears hold a special place in many people's hearts. They transform cherished fabrics into comforting keepsakes which carry their own stories and narratives. This particular memory bear is the third such bear that the lovely Sandi from Family Comforts has made for me and is a beautiful example of her heartfelt craft. This particular bear was made for my daughter Sienna, who has chosen to call her 'Autumn,' which I think suits her perfectly. Autumn is not just any old memory bear, she is created using fabrics from my thirteenth quilting cotton collection, 'Sky Garden' for Lewis and Irene. Sandi has really brought these designs to life, evoking a sense of calm and nostalgia.

The delicate floral patterns and soft colours from 'Sky Garden, combined with the traditional bear pattern create a timeless appeal. Sandi's skill and attention to detail ensures that not only is Autumn beautiful, but she is built to last. Her gorgeous lace cuffs compliment the orange tones in my designs perfectly and her jewel buttons add a touch of glamour making her truly unique. The addition of Autumn's jointed limbs not only make her feel luxurious to hold, but give her personality and charm.

Already Autumn has settled in well with our bear 'family.' Sienna adores her and I know that she will not only be a special friend, but a treasured keepsake for many years to come. As well as being perfect to encapsulate a special moment or milestone, Sandi's bears are fantastic if you are looking for a way to honour your own memories or experiences.
