Upon delicate clay, a small garden grew,
Painted petals preserved in all shades of blue.
Indigo roses ramble over the glaze,
Frozen in place under a porcelain haze.
While tendrils of sweetpeas delicately trace
Across the enamel in a knotted embrace.
Butterflies take to the powdery sky,
Dancing on wings as they fly on by.
Past little birds, who hide in the trees,
Branches frozen mid-sway, twisting in the breeze.
Here time forgets to quicken it’s pace,
A moment suspended, rooted in place.
These blooms will not fade, these blossoms will stay,
This floral legacy outlasts the day.
